BAUER, Christian H. (Chris)

 Age 37, of 134 Main St., Wellsburg, NY, on Sunday, June 18, 1989 at home.  Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Penna. Ave.,  Elmira on Tuesday, 7-9 PM and Wednesday, 2-4 PM and 7-8 PM with funeral and committal services at 8 PM Wednesday.  A private burial will be held after cremation.  He is survived by his wife, Marge (Chace) Bauer and two daughters, Jennifer and Pamela.  He is also survived by his parents, Harold and Janette Bauer of Horseheads, NY; brother, William Bauer; sister, Lois (Bauer) Place, both of Elmira, NY; plus several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.  He was born January 7, 1952 in Elmira.  He lived nine years in Ithaca, NY and four years in Rock Hill, SC.  He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, a life member of the North American Hunting Club and an active supporter of the United States Olympic Shooting Team.  He was a graduate of Southside High School in 1970 and of Corning Community College in 1974.  Memorials may be made to the National Rifle Association.
